The “Hunt Club” offering is an additional value for Texans Archery Club members. This is outside of our 501c3 organization.
A few spots have opened up for the 2024-5 Hunting Season –
apply before 9/1/24
The current “Hunt Club” enrollment cost is a one time non-refundable fee of $500* for a single adult to join – this goes towards property and equipment acquisitions. The annual dues are $250* for maintenance of properties (due August of each year), NONPAYMENT FORFEITS MEMBERSHIP. You will also be asked to bring a bag of corn each hunt to help maintain feeders or for your targeted baiting needs.
* Active Texans Archery Club membership require. If you are not a Texans Archery Club member, enrollment is $700 and annual dues are $450.
A parent/grand-parent enrolled in Hunt Club may bring a youth of direct family (age 9-17). They are welcome outside of deer season only for a hunt. The youth must be under direct supervision, have their TPWD hunter education course, and only hunt from ground/blind – no elevated tree stands.
Before applying, can you shoot a minimum score of 210 points, out of 300, at 20 yards (NFAA/USAA target)?
The membership is not transferable or refundable. No guests allowed. It is less expensive than one hunt with an outfitter. The goal is to acquire more properties to give even more access and opportunity (value) to a member. There probably will be a limit to membership in the future. The enrollment fee would probably be increased as a result.
The network consists of mostly small properties which are surrounded by hundreds of free range acres. We pull wildlife to our year-round active feeders. There are existing blinds or stands, and you may set up your own during your hunt, or donate equipment to improve a property. This is Bowhunting ONLY, no hunting firearms – a pistol for personal protection is allowed. Crossbow is approved. Members have access all year and may hunt any property in the network, but should not reserve the same property more than twice per month. Hunts are one to three day reservations.
Before booking your first hunt, you will need to have a valid TX hunting license, complete a liability waiver, and meet the Hagerman qualifications before your first hunt – that is to complete a proficiency shoot and attain the Bowhunter Education Certification (now available online at www.bowhunter-ed.com/texas). The proficiency shoot is done by achieving a minimum score at 20 yards. This is to assure the best level of bowhunter ethics and safety.
Beyond the permanent hunting property network, additional opportunities in the future may also include outfitter specials, leased properties, and urban hunts within the Metroplex.
During deer season, those properties that qualify may have a lottery draw reservation system.
You can review the reservations on the calendars (link). To make a reservation request, please email Clint@TexasArchery.info
