While I often work with adults who want to step up their precision to the next level, I usually work with youth, ages 8 to 17. A typical student is someone who has taken the beginner classes and has decided that archery is a sport they would like to get involved in, or someone who has already started down the road of competition archery, but hasn’t had they success they would like to see in themselves. I work with the students, not just teaching them how to shoot, but about the sport of archery. We work together to help them decide what kind of goals they would like to set and how they want to proceed into their archery careers. As needed, after they have decided what they want to do, and they have learned enough to have basic form, I help them in the selection of their own equipment.

Most of my students I work with on a regular basis, working as a team towards their meeting their goals. I expect my students to want to learn, and practice on their own. You learn during lessons, and then you must practice to master new skills. “Practice makes permanent.” Form (NTS Compound) and mental management are a big part of how I teach.

I like to help people be successful. You don’t have to be good, you just have to want to be better, and understand that how much you improve is ultimately up to you.

I teach all types of release styles. Let me know if you want to learn back-tension. J You will love it.
