Who benefits: HopeKids provides ongoing events, activities and a
powerful, unique support community for families who have a child with
cancer or some other life-threatening medical condition.
Where: Texas Archery Academy in Plano. 600 Accent Drive, Plano Texas. By
the PGA Golf Store

When: Saturday October 3, 2015 Shooting starts at 10:00 AM. Be at the
range by 9:30 to pick up score cards, registration and target.
Recommended to be there at 9:00 AM. Doors will open at 8:30 AM.

Who can shoot: ANYONE who has the discipline to be safe on the range.
Children 9 and under can shoot at the Yeomen line at 9 meters. Children
who can conduct themselves safely at the shooting line are allowed to
shoot. Children who need an adult within arm’s reach may continue to
shoot but will not be eligible for placement.

What if:
– you’ve never shot before
– you’ve never shot in a tournament before
– you have no equipment

We want to enable you to shoot this tournament. Take the HopeChallenge
for $60. The challenge includes
– archery lesson and practice
– tournament orientation
– equipment rental during the tournament
– tournament fee

How much:
Tournament fee: $30 for Adults, $20 for Children
HopeChallenge: $60 (includes classes, equipment and tournament fees,

What if you do not want to shoot but want to contribute… Yes, we will
take your donation. And we thank you.

Tournament Details

Distance: 18 meters
Targets: FITA 10-ring target 40 centimeters
Children 9 and under may choose to shoot at 9 meters with 60 cm target

Barebow/Basic Compound

Age Divisions:
Yeoman (9 and under shooting at 9 meters with 60 cm target)
Bowman born 2003 or after
Cub born years 2001-2002
Cadet born years 1998-2000
Junior born years 1995-1997
Senior (Adults)

Anyone may play “up” in their age division, i.e. an 18 year old signing up as Senior instead of Junior
