Join a competitive archery team!
NASP (National Archery in Schools), S3DA (Scholastic 3D Archery), USA Archery programs (JOAD, Collegiate, or Adult Archery Achievement), and World Archery (FITA) provide the development of your recreation into a sport experience.
Texas Archery Academy enables these “TEAMS” to have infrastructure for regular workouts, and sponsorship for competition, travel, achievement and performance awards. Participants have the potential to earn college scholarships in Archery, achieve national recognition on USAA World teams competition circuit or Olympic team, or just win competition earnings!
Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) This is a USA Archery program that gives archers, between the ages of 8-20, the opportunity to develop their skills in a tournament style environment, while earning achievement pins. There are separate lanyards for barebow, recurve, compound and for indoor and outdoor series.
Adult Archery Program (AAA) Just like JOAD, it is a USA Archery program that gives adult archers the opportunity to develop their skills and experience a tournament style environment, while earning achievement pins. There are separate lanyards for barebow, recurve, compound, and for indoor and outdoor series.
Our team of instructors have been background screened by USA Archery, and successfully completed the Safe Sport training program, a United States Olympic Committee requirement for all USA Archery coaches.
Your school may also offer an opportunity to try Archery through the physical education curriculum or possibly a school sponsored archery team. Ask your school principal. If not, or you are bored with the equipment limitations… move to the next level (click)
